Our auction is one of only two fundraisers for our school. Auction funds are for three main purposes: to keep our tuition affordable, to purchase classrooms furnishings/supplies and to fund a project every year. Our students have been blessed by many years of significant projects purchased by auction donations.
Our Fund-An-Item project this year was to raise $45,000 to expand our Library and to enhance our 4th through 8th Grade History Curriculum.
Last year's Fund-an-Item project goal of $40,000 to equip our new Middle School Pavilion was met and exceeded ($47,400)! Combined with the proceeds from the walk-a-thon, we were able to equip the eight new classrooms with furniture, Promethean Boards, digital projectors and computers. We were also to equip the new high-tech science lab, lunchroom area and Middle School offices.
Previous auction projects have included the gym floor, playground structure, sport court, new library, second computer lab, copy machines, the addition of a performing arts center, school office and covered play area, Promethean Interactive whiteboards, educational software, media & video equipment and 50 headsets for the computer labs.
Sponsorship and advertising opportunities are available every year!
How you make our Auction successful for our students every year:
Donate and Procure!
We ask that each family procure at least $200 worth of items for the general auction. Included in this packet are procurement ideas. Asking for donations is very easy. Businesses and individuals have given generously to our school and are anxious to invest in our students.
Many employers offer a “Matching Gift Program” to their employees and match our projects dollar-for-dollar! Contact your human resources department. Enclosed in this packet is a Matching Gift information sheet. If you donate $200, that is $400 for our students!
Participate!
Provide ideas, talents, time and items/money to your child’s class auction art project. All class projects this year will be art projects. We will display these beautiful, unique custom made by our students art projects in our art gallery in the lobby before the auction! Proceeds from these projects are separate from the Fund-an-Item project and the general auction. Proceeds directly benefit the students by funding classroom learning enhancements such as math-manipulatives, books, learning games, etc. These projects are beautiful and are treasured keepsakes. Your child’s teacher will be seeking a classroom art project lead parent - please volunteer!
Volunteer!
We need many volunteers to make the auction a success. The volunteers have a great time working together. We need volunteers to procure items, run errands, make phone calls, put donation baskets together, do data entry, organize, decorate, stuff envelopes, file documents and much more! We need help setting up the day of the auction as well as volunteers that night. Even if you only have one hour – it makes a difference. If you would like to be part of this fun and important event, please communicate with us through the contacts listed below.
Be an Auction Sponsor or Advertiser!
Be a Gold or Silver Sponsor – this is a great way to purchase your auction tickets, promote your business /organization and support our students. Advertisers have a choice of full, half-page or business-card advertisements.
Pray! Please pray for the success of this important event for our students.
