Before, After and Extended School Care

NCA's Extended Care program is provided at an extra cost on designated NO SCHOOL days as a service for NCA parents, particularly working parents, and also for parents who are unable to be here when school starts and/or closes each day.

AM/PM Care

The Extended Care program is for full day Kindergarten students and students that are 12 years old and younger.  It is located in the gymnasium/lunchroom.  Activities will include arts/crafts, outside playtime and homework time.  The program is open at 7 a.m. and closed at 6 p.m.

All students must be signed in for AM Care and out of PM Care by the person dropping them off or picking them up!

Half Days

On half days, Extended Care will be provided at extra cost (except the last day of school.) Refer to the school calendar, newsletters, or call the school office for changes.  Pack a lunch with a drink for your child. (Carbonated drinks and candy may not be brought to Extended Care.)

Full-Day Extended Care
(Offered on specific "NO SCHOOL" days)

NCA offers full-day extended care at extra cost on specific "NO SCHOOL" days by RESERVATION ONLY.  The Extended Care program is a privilege and not a right.  Parents are responsible for submitting registration forms early in order to reserve a spot for their child(ren) AND for planning alternate care should there be no openings on particular days.

Registration forms are usually sent out with the Navigator Weekly newsletter two weeks prior to a NO SCHOOL day. As they become available, the current forms are located below and at the front lobby reception desk. Return completed registration forms to the NCA Receptionist or Academy Office. Space is limited. First come, first served.  Parents are required to pack a lunch for their child(ren) on these days. Snacks are provided.

For the 2011-2012 School Year, full-day extended care will be available on the following days BY RESERVATION ONLY. Click on the date for the current registration form (forms are made available within two weeks prior to dates below).

Full Day Extended Care Forms:

January 27^th

February 17^th and February 21^st

March 1^st and 2^nd

April 2^nd, 3^rd, 4^th, 5^th, 6^th, and 9^th 

May 11^th and 25^th

June - Kindergarten End-of-Year Care (dates TBA)

Extended Care is NOT available on the following NO SCHOOL days due to school closure for a holiday:

September 5 - Labor Day
November 24-25 - Thanksgiving Holiday
December 26 - Christmas Holiday
January 2 - New Year's Day Observance
February 20 - Presidents Day
May 28 - Memorial Day
July 4 - Independence Day

Kindergarten End-of-Year Care 2012

Middle School Study Hall

Extended hours at school for students older than 13 years old may be available during the 2011-2012 school year. After school, students will be checked into the Extended Care study hall located in the School library. The time will be used for students as a study hall. Extended Care rules and billing policies apply.  Hours of this program are from 3:30-5pm.
